Restoration of the facade with a projected cork of a detached house between medians and terraced houses located in the western part of the region of Requena-Utiel in the province of Valencia.
As it is a two-layer system composed of a support and a finishing coating, the state of the support must always be analyzed before the application of the projected cork.
Different previous works were carried out to prepare the support. The fissures in the façade were repaired with a repair mortar and cleaned of dust and dirt. Once the windows and doors were papered and protected, projected cork VIPEQ F08 was projected in two hands until reaching a thickness of approximately 3 mm.
The projected cork composed of acrylic resins and granules of natural cork allows to obtain a coating that works as a thermal corrector and with a high acoustic insulating power. The projected cork is also flexible and will take on structural stresses, preventing new cracks from arising in the façade.
The building is located in the town of Villagordo del Cabriel in the province of Valencia with a continental Mediterranean climate. This is a climate of transition between the continental and the typical Mediterranean, typical of the interior of the Iberian Peninsula. The winters are cold, the summers are warmer than in the typical Mediterranean climate with maximum temperatures above 40 degrees, and the precipitations also scarce but better distributed throughout the year, in winter can be in the form of snow. The projected cork will protect the facade from the climatic conditions that occur in the location of the building.
The projected cork is offered with a product and application warranty of 10 years.
