SULTANATE OF OMAN
Project description

Restoration of diesel fuel tank with cork projected in Oman.

The metallic deposits are usually coated with paint. Due to extreme climatic conditions in the area characterized by high temperatures that can reach 50 ° C and high humidity, the paint degrades very easily. Maintenance requires repainting deposits every 6 months. With the projected cork we will avoid the corrosion of the surface and will lengthen the useful life of the deposit reducing considerably the costs of its maintenance.

As for the work done, first a cleaning with soap was done to remove traces of dust and grease. Afterwards, cork was projected in two hands until it reached an approximate thickness of 3-4mm. Finally, each of the faces was labeled with cork projected in black.

The treated deposits include a thermoelectric station south of Oman owned by Rural Areas Electricity Company SAOC (RAECO).
