Thermal Corkshield VIPEQ® F08 in Burgos, Castilla y León (Spain)

Project description

Rehabilitation of the facade of a building through the application of projected cork VIPEQ®F08. After cleaning the façade with peeling paint and repairing cracks in the base mortar, the decorative covering VIPEQ®F08 is applied. It was also applied directly on the face brick to avoid thermal bridges and possible water leaks. In this project 4 colors have been used to respect the original image.

The projected cork offers multiple advantages emphasizing its durability and flexibility. A joint product and application warranty of 10 years is offered. The deformability of the projected cork allows it to assume the structural tensions of the building without generating fissures.

The capital of Burgos suffers from significant thermal oscillations that can be between 16 and 20 ºC between the warmest month and the coldest month. The projected cork of VIPEQ®F08 applied in 3 mm thickness offers a barrier to heat flow that reaches 18%. This quality allows us to support this thermal amplitude in better conditions.

For a building such as that presented with more than 20 years old and insufficiently insulated, a thermal rehabilitation is recommended with which you can easily obtain savings of 25-30% of the energy consumed in heating and / or cooling. This type of thermal rehabilitation favors the reduction of the heating demand, which is why they are highly recommended in cold climatic zones such as Burgos. The projected cork is therefore an eco-efficient solution for the rehabilitation of facades in Burgos.
